If you’ve been following the MGear journey the last while, then you’ve noticed that we have a sci-fi theme to our animations. That’s because we want you to know we’re here to help your expeditions know no boundaries, even if they’re to the depths of space!
MGear and sci-fi are a pair that were made for each other. Whether exploring new worlds, facing new frontiers, or navigating meteor showers, it sounds like an adventurer’s playground to us!
In watching our animations, you’ll see that we deliberately interweave these sci-fi realms into our brand story because we feel there are simply so many parallels to be drawn between the two.
So of course, it should be no surprise that when it came time to revamp our homepage, we had to follow suit and have an animation that takes advantage of this sci-fi inspiration.
Adventure Awaits
When you first land on our homepage, you’ll find yourself aboard our futuristic MGear spaceship, and before you is a door that leads to an explorer’s favorite place; the unknown.
On this door you’ll find two MGear logos, and while we’ve provided the makings of your exploration, it’s up to you to choose which route your adventure will take you!
In true sci-fi fashion, as a nod to the many space explorers from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, we’ve presented you the option between the ‘Light Side’ and ‘Dark Side’ by choosing the White or the Black MGear logo.
Whichever side you choose, both animations ultimately lead you to different versions of our own latest (and possibly greatest) expedition – the Gadget Wallet 3.0. This pocket-sized device can pack a powerful punch and be used for incredible things and, depending on what side you’re on and how you customize it, can be used to represent your own Light or Dark side.
Click the white logo, and the doors will whoosh open to show an alien planet that is in the midst of being demolished by a meteor strike. But by choosing the Light Side, you’ve become a part of the rescue mission, and have dispatched a shuttle from the MGear station on the planet. After circling the alien planet to assess the scene, this shuttle opens to release our heroic Gadget Wallet 3.0, clad with our Stainless Steel front plate and Gold Carbon Fiber background. The Gadget Wallet 3.0 then projects a forcefield around the planet, protecting it from it’s impending meteoric doom. Congratulations, you’ve saved your new alien friends from total annihilation! Hoorah!
Choose the black logo however, and the scene that unfolds behind the ship’s bay door is quite different.
Before you still lies an alien planet, but it has been left barren and desolate. It would appear all life has been stripped away from what was surely once a thriving and lively species. The planet then erupts and is destroyed from the inside out, crumbling away into nothing but fragments of rock floating through space as the ‘Dark Side’ Gadget Wallet 3.0 emerges from its core. Accented by its swappable Gunmetal front plate, Gold Carbon Fiber background, and flashlight accessory, this Gadget Wallet 3.0 has been customized to embody the most sinister of users on the Dark Side.
Whichever side you choose, these two versions of the Gadget Wallet 3.0 are just the first steps on your customized wallet journey!
